Zen Cabin is a compact outdoor retreat with a stated area of 4 m². Its 2 m by 2 m footprint focuses on a small place to rest, with a bed and room for compact furniture such as a cabinet or table. The published overall dimensions are 2 m × 2 m × 3 m.
A Focused Place to Rest
The interior centres on the bed rather than a full arrangement of domestic rooms. This gives Zen Cabin a straightforward purpose: providing a small enclosed place for rest within an outdoor setting.
The original description allows for a cabinet or table alongside the bed. These compact furniture options complement the sleeping space, keeping the interior focused on a few essential uses within its modest area.
A Small Outdoor Footprint
At 4 m², Zen Cabin is considerably smaller than the house and bungalow designs in the DEEPBLUE range. Its scale makes the relationship with the surrounding outdoor space especially important, as the cabin itself serves a limited accommodation function.
The concept is relevant to camping and retreat settings where a compact place to rest is the central requirement. Its small footprint gives it a clear identity as a cabin rather than a multi-room residence.
Simple Cabin Form
The published dimensions describe a compact enclosure with a square footprint. This simple form supports the design’s emphasis on a contained resting space and a restrained interior arrangement.
Zen Cabin can be considered as part of a broader outdoor retreat concept, with the cabin providing the enclosed sleeping component. The surrounding setting remains an important part of how the design is used and experienced.
For readers comparing small accommodation options, its defining features are the 4 m² area, bed-centred interior and minimal furniture programme. These details make the scope of the cabin clear and distinguish it from larger designs that include kitchens, bathrooms and separate living rooms.
